I upgraded to adobe 7.0 and downloaded adobe 7.0 as instructed by one of my
other programs. the download brought with it a Yahoo task bar that now
obstructs part of the page and I now have two task bars, Google and yahoo.
How do I get rid of the Yahoo task bar?

There appears to be at least two ways to get rid of the Yahoo Toolbar,
mertonjames-ga, and I will post them as a clarification request to make
sure one of them works for you before posting this as the answer.

From a Yahoo! help page on the subject.
http://help.yahoo.com/help/toolbar/toolbar-08.html

"There are two ways to uninstall the Yahoo! Toolbar for Internet Explorer.
Option 1: via the Toolbar

Select "Uninstall" from the Pencil button ...
Click "Uninstall" on the uninstall page.
Close any open IE windows
When you restart Internet Explorer, Toolbar will no longer be present.

Option 2: via Control Panel

Click on the Windows "Start" button
Select "Control Panel" from the "Settings" menu
Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs"
Scroll down and click on the "Yahoo! Toolbar" entry
Click on "Change/Remove"
Close any open IE windows
Yahoo! Toolbar is now uninstalled. Start IE again after closing all your
open IE browser windows and it will no longer be present.

If you follow these steps and Yahoo! Toolbar is still present, make sure
you have closed all your open IE browser windows. Due to Internet Explorer
being integrated with Windows, you may need to restart your computer to
fully uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar."

If the above answers your question, please tell me and I will post this as
the answer. Thanks!

If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your browser, Yahoo!'s toolbar is
installed as an extension. You can remove it by going to Tools,
Extensions, then selecting the Yahoo! toolbar and clicking Uninstall.

If you're not using Mozilla Firefox as your browser, you should be. :)
