When I click in IE on TOOLs>INTERNET OPTIONS>CONTENT>AUTO
COMPLETE>CLEAR FORMS then my pc goes to a blue page with some writing
so fast that I cannot read and then shuts down. When I reboot
Microsoft tells me I have recovered from a serious error and that
probably it is a divice driver confllict. When I go to look at my
DIVICE DRIVERS no drivers show up when I open SYSTEM>HARDWARE>DEVICE
MANAGER The Device Manager box opens but it is empty.
When I go into System Restore I have no Restore Points available.
but MY PC IS OTHERWISE RUNNING JUST FINE.
So why does it shut down and why cant I find a list of
Divice Drivers?????

sailorman...

Sounds like you've got quite a strange problem with your system.
What I'd recommend is that you stop Windows from automatically
rebooting when there's a bluescreen error. Then you can write
down exactly what the error is and post it here, and it becomes
much easier to research it.

You have XP, and I'm working from Windows 2000, but the following
should be very similar on your system:

Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, and go to the
Advanced tab. Click on the Startup and Recovery button, and,
under System Failure, uncheck Automatically Reboot.

Then go back to IE and do the Clear Forms thing again and, if
and when you get a bluescreen, copy down exactly what it says
and post it back here.

Sounds like most likely you either have a virus, trojan, rogue program
or some OS corruption.
Have you attempted to boot into safe mode?

After you get your system back up, you can get a free eBook on how to
configure your system so that no viruses, spyware, malware etc. can
get on your system. I've used it, it works perfectly and you don't
have to buy anything. This will prevent any future problems.
