Why are all the American Girl doll girls from years that end in 4? Felicity is from 1774, Molly is from 1944, Kirsten is from 1854, etc. |

Cuncuxnas -- Actually they don't all end in 4. You might want to see the Wikipedia article on the doll line, which notes, "Each of the dolls is given a historical year ending in 4. The "Best Friend" line of dolls - companions to the historical dolls - have years ending in 6." Wikipedia "American Girl" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_girl_dolls I suspect that the use of the "4" for the historical dolls came because founder Pleasant T. Rowland came up with the idea during a trip to Williamsburg in 1984. Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Ah. Thank you. I was really only looking for the reasoning behind the dolls in the main line. That answer helps quite a bit. |
