I need a place where I can buy a Torx Security T12 screwdriver. It's a
star bit with a small hole in the middle. I would prefer to get a
screwdriver, but a bit would be ok. I would like to be able to buy in
bulk. I've been to Home Depot, Fry's, Radio Shack, and
Sears locally with no luck so far. I've spent a good bit of time
looking for a supplier online, but can't find anything. There WERE,
however, allusions to the fact that they did exist at one time. But
all the links I found led nowhere. Ebay links and other auction type
links will work if no one can find a retailer.

Have you tried a hardware store "Ace" or Westlakes?
Check in the section of the store with the little screws& parts in boxes.
Might have to look around if it is there it can be order thru that supplier.

T12 is quite an oddball size i believe.

I've heard of T10 and T15, but not T12. If you need a T10 or T15 (or
one of many other sizes besides T12), try searching

i do indeed need a t12 bit. i already have t6, t7, t8, t9, t10, t15,
t20, t25. it's been confirmed by a couple different sources that a t12
is needed for my project. i just checked ace and they don't have it
either. they do have quite a nice selection of other torx bits though.

Seems you need these in the BMW/VW world...I would check with your local dealer.
