According to the Internet Movie Database, the song has been used in these films:

Bad Man of Brimstone, The (1937)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0029892/soundtrack

Golden Girl (1951)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0043592/soundtrack

Honky Tonk (1941)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0033726/soundtrack

Mammy (1930)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0021110/soundtrack

Mountain Rhythm (1939)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0031674/soundtrack

Outcasts of Poker Flat, The (1937)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0029361/soundtrack

Three Godfathers (1936)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0028367/soundtrack

Trail Blazers, The (1940)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0033179/soundtrack

Tulsa Kid, The (1940)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0033189/soundtrack

The same song, under the abbreviated name "Golden Slippers," was
featured in the 1937 Warner Brothers cartoon "Clean Pastures":

Clean Pastures (1937)

My search strategy began with a visit to the IMDb "Soundtracks Browser":

Internet Movie Database: Soundtracks Browser
http://imdb.com/Sections/Soundtracks/

I entered "dem golden slippers" into the Soundtracks Browser's search
box, which produced the results listed above.

Internet Movie Database: search for "dem golden slippers"

I hope this is precisely what you need. If anything is unclear or

Great research, but too late. My darling young friend in the UK
already discovered this info and responded immediately. I have since
tracked down the movie on Ebay and purchased same.

I am sorry that you found my answer to be "too late." I posted the
answer exactly twenty minutes after you asked the question. How
quickly did you expect a response?

If you are the young man in the UK known as "Young Blade," then my hat
is off to you. If not, perhaps I am not familiar with the process
here.

I am not a young man, and I am not in the UK. However, I did answer
your question in twenty minutes flat. If you required faster service,
you might have indicated this in your question.

Hi Again Susan

Remember me?

I am your 'darling young friend' who helped you find a copy of 'The
Golden Girl', as requested in your other question ID 608250.

Until now, I hadn't realised that you had asked this question but I
can see how the confusion has arisen because (as Pinkfreud has
correctly stated in her answer)'The Golden Girl' also features the
song 'Oh Dem Golden Slippers'.

Hope you enjoyed the DVD!

All the Best

Docking this Researcher a star because a response in twenty minutes
was too late for you seems a bit churlish.

Pinkfreud was prigged!

I hope you will all forgive me for not understanding the process here.
I am getting some pretty snippy and unwarrented comments. As I
previously stated, Prubonopublico responded in this comment section
with a list of musicals featuring my song. Pinkfreud's info came
directly to my e-mail weeks later. Tho she may have submitted it in
20 mintues, it was quite a while before I received it. How was I to
know of her timeing? And I still don't understand why she is being
rated.

This was the first time I ever posted and up to now, everyone was
wonderful. Probonopublico answered my post immediately and was beyond
gracious.

For many years I have been trying to track down the name of the first
movie I ever saw...Golden Girl...which was the only bright spot in a
horrendous childhood. I was 8 when I was mesmerized by the wonderful
musical which left me humming, "Oh, Dem Golden Slippers" for the next
55 years tho I could never remember the name of the movie.

By the way, I *still* have not received this film tho it was mailed on
1/1/06. Every day I check USPS and find no info whatsoever. The
sender/seller sounds very conscientious, so perhaps it will turn up.
