Question ID: 606924
I purchased an Inada D1 massage chair off of internet and it feels great.

There is however a problem - An error message flashes accross the
screen that states - "Safety switch-off activated. Push Power to
restart. ? ? ?" - This message never stops scrolling. It also hinders
the ability to change some of the settings in the chair.
Along with the message the rollers in the back of the chair is
permanantly in on spot (towards the top of the chair).

I would like a solution and have contacted Inada and they have not
returned any calls.

Any help will be accepted.

Thanks.

Hi,

Hopefully you will get this information even though the question has
expired. I contacted Inada through their website for you and got the
following reply. If it doesn't solve the problem you should get back
in touch with them via the email address at the end. They seem to be
fairly responsive and I'm sure you could have your chair serviced if
needed.

Here's the reply to the email I sent:

>>I have just received your e-mail.

If there is an error code ?? after the message ?safety switch off
activated?, this means something wrong with up and down system.

Possible causes are:

1. Up-Down Motor,

2. Up-Limit Sensor,

3. Massage Roller Unit went over-run the Up Limit Sensor

4. Fabric jammed with Massage Roller

Back of the chair must be opened to check these problems.

In case of ?3 Massage Roller Unit went over-run the Up Limit Sensor?,
if you turn back the Up-Down Motor and lower down the Massage Unit
manually? It will recover. However, mechanical stopper should be
installed to avoid this problem in the future.
