I'm looking for either a web design firm that will help me develop a
standards compliant e-commerce store.  Does anyone know an online
resource for getting in touch with standards compliant developers,
links to a few designers, or an existing e-commerce package that can
be used to create a standards compliant website?

The best place that I've found to search for developers by far is
www.elance.com. You can post whatever type of project that you would
like designed, developed, and deployed. This is an absolutely
invaluable site.
