Joe,

I'm feeling free to ask...

I have access to some real-world business plans, and I may be able to
help you here. But I've always found the phrase "content site" to be
a bit on the vague side...is there any site that *doesn't* offer
content of one sort or another?

Could you clarify for me the type of sites or businesses that would
best suit your purpose?

It's unlikely that anyone could find the business plan for a specific
site (like audioreview), but once I get a handle on the type of sites
of interest to you, I may be able to come up with a good fit.

Thanks,

pafalafa-ga

When I said content site I mean site that are informative and contains
forums and their core business is not selling a product.
Also that the site will have a high traffic - an average of 500000
unique users per month.
I wan to be able to understand from the plan:
How many people they will recruit during the process? What are the
hosting related expenses and more.

i didn't mention that I don't want any bplan from the available
programs.( palo alto...)
Also I am looking for an updated one - not older then 2002.

Joe,

A couple of things:

1. I didn't understand your last comment about not wanting a bplan
from "the available programs". Can you clarify your meaning here.

2. Just to make sure we're clear...I can't post actual bplans here as
an answer to your question, since the plans themselves are generally
copyright. If I find a relevant plan I can (a) summarize the relevant
content for you re:costs, and (b) point you to sources where you may
be able to view the plan in its entirety.

Would that meet your needs?

Please understand that real-world bplans are very hard to come by. If
you want information from such plans, there needs to be a good deal of
flexibility in terms of the type of business plan accessed.

Let me know what you think is the best way to proceed at this point.

Thanks,

paf

Joe,

I've been through the business plans available to me, but none of them
appear to meet your criteria, so I'm going to unlock this question in
the hopes that other researchers may have something better to offer.

Best of luck,

paf

Dear Joe,

One of my clients arranged to have just such a business plan
prepared. It cost him around $8,000-$10,000. And it omitted
important considerations that could have made the company a
success quickly.

There isn't space to post a full business plan here.
If you're interested in the cost of the elements needed
to achieve your goal, I can probably outline that for you.
For instance, the hosting, the off-the shelf forum software
you can start with and customize, the mailing list - cost to
build it/maintain it, the development team, the sales team,
the staff to manage the site and provide customer service...etc.
(And one most crucial element that will make or break your site.)

Best wishes

TaxMama,

I am young and I cannot pay 8000$...but I will be happy to get a
censured version of it.
What I mean you can remove named and others.
Always there is an option to put it in yousendit.com.
If it?s going to be the Bplan I am looking for I will tip you nicely.

Dear Joe,

Sorry. That's impossible.

I am not able to take someone's $8,000 business plan and remove
their name and give it to you.

I think you would be better off asking specific questions, rather than
trying to get a whole business plan. For example, ask how much would
it cost to have a webiste running that can host 500,000 users monthly,
assuming that the content is similar to audioreview.
