Roughly how many people use gmail?
Clarification of Question by tparlin-ga on 19 Dec 2005 07:32 PST I'd also be interested in knowing how much diskspace is being used by the entire user population (best guess)

My best guess on roughly how many people use gmail is 83 (+ or -5) and
diskspace usage would be around 360 Kbytes max. Hope this helps.

I think he was kidding (badly). 360 Kbytes max for everyone is a
ridiculously small number.

Yeah, I realized afterwards.... I'm so greatful that we have "witty"
people like that to waste our time.

My guess would be about 10 million. Of course its just a random figure
so its probably out by several factors of 7. And disk usage? Note the
program Gmail drive shell extension:

This probably means that quite a few people are using a lot of their
>2.6GB limit. Guess: one large warehouse of hard drives, approx 500
million tons, power usage of a small town.
