"Las Posadas" began on December 15. This Christmas celebration is not unique to Costa Rica, however. "Las Posadas. In this countrywide celebration, children and carolers go door to door seeking lodging in a reenactment of Joseph and Mary's search for a place to stay. Begins December 15." http://www.frommers.com/destinations/costarica/0219030003.html |

Yes, this is one of the "close-calls" I've seen while doing my own searches. But alas, it is not a national holiday. |
