Question ID: 60787
I have 1992 Nissan Maxima with Clarion Radio with Cassette Player and
CD player . It has Power antenna (Antenna comes out only when radio is
on, goes down when playing cassette/CD).
As cassette player and CD player are not working properly, I removed
both the units and replaced with new JVC in-dash CD player with AM/FM
Radio.
PROBLEM is now antenna doesn't come out automatically when Radio is
ON.I would like to know
1. How to make it work as it used to with Original radio (Power
Antenna)
OR
2. How to keep Antenna always up (It's OK with me)

Thanks

Did you connect the antenna power lead to the player?

This is installed by Circuit City Car Audio "Road shop" installer. I
can see that antenna power lead is connected to the player (By
"Roadshop" installation kit)
I forgot to check the power antenna before accepting the installation,
and they are asking for labor charges to even to 'look at the
problem'.
Thats why I posted question here...

Have you asked the Road Shop why Circuit City's "100% Lifetime Labor
Warranty" does not apply to you?

"6) Lifetime Labor Warranty. We teach our Installers how to install
the right way. They know how to install every product in the way that
will give the best performance and the greatest reliability. No matter
how long you’ve had your system, if it fails due to a problem with our
installation, we’ll fix it for free. We’re so confident that our
installation will stand the test of time that we’ll back it 100% for
as long as you own your car."
