I wanted to checkout very nices places to drive around the New York
area (~100-200 miles from Manhattan) for the Christmas weekend.

What I am looking for is sort of small towns that have the old
beautiful villagish looks and are beautifully lit for the Christmas.
List of places to stay around the area which are safe for the family
to stay will be great.
