I don't know code but I'd like to put a kick-ass slideshow on my website, something that's loaded with features. Currently, I use ms frontpage 2003 to design my website. There's a javascript slideshow option but it has no features on it except for being able to choose the transitions between slides. I would prefer a freeware version (without adware) that's user friendly for someone who is code illiterate, if that's even possible. Can someone suggest either some free or reasonably priced slideshow software? Thanks. |

Thank you for your reply. Well, the flash player is free but in order to actually create something, it requires Flash MX which costs around $400. I'm surprised that there's no known open source software out there. If I weren't illiterate at coding, I'd write a program myself but I'm not so I won't. |

Thanks dagorret. That's pretty cool for a free tool. I finally forked over about $40 for the Wondershare Flash Slide Show, but it's extremely easy to use with a good amount of features so it's well worth the money. |

Just Fyi, for anyone else out there with the same quandary, I finally found some blog software that makes everything easy. It's called Easyblog by uuba.com; there's a free trial, and it's about $25 to buy it. You can do your html code in MS Front page, and then copy and paste the code into the blog entry. There's templates for the look of the blog, which are supposed to be customized using css which I haven't mastered/tried. I added the ability for others to comment on my posts by using haloscan.com. |

I created dynamic image slideshow for my client. Let me know if you want to buy it. YOu can upload images using asp page. You can add comments about images. MS Access is at backend. Frontend is flash MX. You can upload as many pictures you want |

I'll definitely consider that. I think I left an off-topic comment on blogging software. I think I meant that for a different question I had asked. Regarding slideshow software, I found some excellent software from Wondershare. It's about $30 and you can create flash slideshows. It's completely customizable. You can change the size of the frames, choose frame templates or create your own and add your own music. The only thing I don't like about it is that you are limited to jpeg only pics. No gifs. )-: But otherwise excellent, easy-to-use software. |
