Growth
"According to The NPD Group, the leader in market information for the
wireless industry, mobile phone sales to consumers in the U.S. reached
31.6 million units in the third quarter of 2005. This number
represents solid incremental growth of seven percent from the second
quarter 2005 sales volume of 29.6 million units and an increase of
more than 30 percent compared to sales during the same period in 2004.
NPD estimates total third quarter 2005 consumer sales of slightly more
than $2 billion."
?The handset market was very robust in the third quarter,? said Neil
Strother, research director for mobile devices at The NPD Group.
?These numbers reflect strong replacement demand among consumers,
coupled with more limited growth from new subscribers.?

How much is spent on wireless prepaid services?
According to Smartserv Investor Update, $10 BILLION is spent on
wireless prepaid services in the United States.
Excerpt:
?SmartServ has made major progress towards becoming one of the leading
companies in telecom?s hottest sector ? prepaid wireless. ?Prepaid?
and ?postpaid? mobile phones work the same ? the only difference is
that prepaid service is paid for ahead of time, usually
with cash not credit. Prepaid subscribers buy monthly minute cards and
only pay for the minutes they need. There are no contracts, no credit
checks and no monthly bills. Prepaid wireless is now about a $10
billion business in the U.S. and forecast to double over
the next three years by leading industry analysts, so this market is
extremely attractive to us and is the focus of our plans to build our
company and your investment.?
