I worked for a company for two years, and lost track of the stock I
bought there.  How can I tell how much I own and then manage it again?

The company should have a stockholder information office.   It it has
a website, you should be able to find something similar, probably with
a list of topics including something like "lost or destroyed share
certificates".

Try asking there.
