I believe that there's a company called "Accu Weather", that provides
weather maps  and other weather information in video form to news
stations all over the country. Please find the relevant links that
describe this and other companies that supply weather information to
T.V. stations.

I've also seen web sites that seem to be getting weather feeds from
some external information service.  Please find a list of these
services with links.
