Hello fellow searchers,

I hope my question will be of interest to you. I am looking for a
complete list of the skills commonly used/required in Job postings.
Example of such skills (for computer programmers) are Java, C++,
COBOL, etc. In this particular case, I would cliassify these in a
group called programming language skills. I am
pretty sure there is such a list somewhere but I don't know
exactly where. Though a free list would be great, I would also be
happy with commercial ones.

Ideally the list should cover the most popular job posted on the
Internet and would itself be in digital form.

Thanks and happy bidding,

Klaus.

Hi!

Researchers are quite wary of a so called "complete list" since we can
never guarantee that what we find is a complete list.

I can provide a list of such skills but it will not indicate if these
skills are popular in internet search engines but I think the skill
sets will be pretty comprehensive.

Is this ok with you?

Thanks.

I think comprehensive is what I wanted to say. The issue is that this
list can be quite huge. This is the reason why I was essentially
asking for existing lists. Starting the list from scratch as you may
wnat to do it might result in a lot of work. Did I misunderstood you?
Are you talking about building a new list or are you talking about
searching for existing lists?

Thanks for your interest,

Klaus.

Hi again klaus777-ga!

I have an existing list and it just needs to be formatted somewhat.
However, such a list will not be indicative to the popularity of
skills as being posted in internet job engines.

Is this ok with you?

Thanks!

That's Ok. Please go ahead!
