Dear Researchers,
Iam seeking advice or suggestion on my engineering
career. I have a master?s in Mechanical Engineering and I have been
working for an employer as an entry level engineer for sometime now.
As it?s a small concern I do all kinds of jobs from designing to
documenting. Most of my interest lies in designing, primarily using
the design package Pro/Engineer. I would say iam a step ahead of
novice in design modeling but would rate my design knowledge as zero
at this moment. All I do is transform ideas of other people in to
3D.Al my knowledge to date has been from school (books and exams is
all I know). I have a lot of idle time these days in which I could
hone my knowledge from an industrial point of view
My questions to you are
1. I need to streamline my career. Is there any certifications or
exams that would help me in my career both monetarily and in growth
2. Areas of expertise that are most sought out these days and any
certifications required for recognition so that I could find my
interest on those and dwelve into it
3. Areas of engineering that a mechanical engineer needs to have a
good knowledge in an industry no matter what his job profile might be
Your answers would be highly appreciated

Get your P.E. certification. Very worthwhile. |
