I am looking for answers to force the state of Arizona to recognize an
expungment from the state of Kansas. I petitioned for expungment for
multiple charges committed/convicted/sentenced in Kansas years before.
On one case I was able to get an Interstate Compact, and move to
Arizona. I remained under Arizona supervision for 6 months and then
was released from probation (all that was ever served) with early
termination for performance. During the time of supervision I was
assigned a case number for Maricopa County, this was for
administrative purposes only. I never committed a crime, or was tried,
convicted or served anytime in Arizona. Unfortunately, this case still
stands, even though the sentencing court (KS) has sealed or expunged
the Kansas records of charges and conviction. How can I get Arizona to
recognize this expungment from the sentencing court?
I understand I may be able to leverage Arizona statute 13-907. Is this
the correct one?
How can I leverage this:
http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/00907.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS
100% of rights restored in KS, no violent or gun/sex/assault/violent
related crimes. Voting restored, firearms - citizenship reinstated.
Current Arizona inquiry returns "interstate compact probation" no
details, no judge, just name - SSN, and summary above with early
termination clause.
Please, let me know, thanks! |
