Hi tonyacunar,

OSXvnc is a VNC server for Mac OS X. You can get the source code from
the SourceForge website.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/osxvnc/

Chicken of the VNC is a VNC client for Mac OS X. Its source code is
also available from SourceForge.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/

The Development Status of both of these projects is Production/Stable.

How is it that I get the source code for the server all in one package
using their "CVS" method? Using unix on my mac i try :
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/osxvnc login

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/osxvnc co -
P OSXvnc

when it asks for a password I press enter but it wont let me log in
Any Ideas as to how to get the code?

Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac, which limits how much I can help
you. I'll give you some information in case it helps.

With the TortoiseCVS client for Windows, I was able to get the files
for OSXvnc. The log window showed:

-----[quote]

In C:\Temp\osxvnc: "C:\Software\Development\TortoiseCVS\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe"
"-q" "checkout" "-P" "OSXvnc"
CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/osxvnc

Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password

-----[end quote]

Then it showed the program getting all the files. So this at least
shows that anonymous access works, and may give you a hint as to how
to tweak the command line.

Possibly a client with a graphical user interface would work better.
If you would like to try that, there are a few available for the Mac.
Though the names are similar, these are all different programs.

MacCvs
http://www.wincvs.org/

MacCVS Pro
http://www.maccvs.org/

MacCVSClient
http://www.heilancoo.net/MacCVSClient/

I'm sorry I can't advise you more specifically about the login
problem. If you'd like to ask about anything else related to this
question, please feel free to ask for a clarification.
