How many Sprint company stores are there?

Dear Ysam,

According to a publication taken from the Sprint Whitepaper Library
there are more than 1,600 stores made up of 800 Sprint and 800 Nextel
stores.

Excerpt:

"Sprint embarks on a sweeping retail makeover that includes rebranding
and re-merchandising the interior of Sprint and Nextel company-owned
retail stores. More than 1,600 stores (800 Sprint and 800 Nextel
stores) are transformed overnight, marking one of the fastest and
largest interior retail re-branding efforts in the nation."
