I started out using the Palm calendar for scheduling 10 to 20 service calls per day. Later I began to use Datebook3 from Pimlico Software and most recently Datebook5 from Pimlico. I am preparing to move to the Pocket PC/Pocket Mobile5 platform and wish to find simple software for scheduling my daily service calls. I have looked into "Agendus", and "Pocket Informant" and have always hated "Outlook". My main issue with these packages is that they are geared to the Coorporate world and the needs or meetings with multiple personell. Generally I find them all to have much too much overhead and find that they are burdensome when it comes to creating an appointment with one of 6500 customers from my contacts (phonebook)database. My wishlist would be something similar to the palm calendar or datebook5 with the ability to link to the contact via the contact's telephone number. With 6500 contacts there are too many John Smiths and the telephone number points best to the customer contact. Lastly, I am not adversed to CRM (Customer Relations Management) Software, if it does not get in the way of a scheme which can quickly schedule a contacts telephone link.
