I've just purchased a Scanjet 5590 scanner, and am in the process of scanning masses of paperwork in the house. The scanner scans bundles of paper using the automatic document feeder to PDF format. What I would really like to do is bundle lots of different documents together and insert a blank or separator page between different documents and then automatically split the generated PDF into individual document files where the blank / seperator page is found in the PDF. Is there any cheap software available (<$100) that will examine a PDF file and recognise blank pages / separator pages and split the PDF automatically where these occur? I do not have Adobe Acrobat (too expensive!) so a plugin for that will not be sufficient. |

Many thanks for your reply hkharma. I've taken a look at the web-site and it does seem to be exactly what I need! It seems the Batch Scanning is handled through a plugin so I have emailed to find out how much this costs. Thanks VERY much!! |
