My Ipod is broken. It was attached to a Irock wireless device and the insert plug detached from the irock while the Ipod was playing. Now I get no response from the Ipod. Any suggestions? |

iPod is less than 1 year old, so should be covered by warranty? |

precisely why our store always recommends the C$50 extra 1-year warranty with the things. Assuming you DIDN'T buy warranty (make sure you do next time) there aren't a lot of options. basically you iPod is a 2.5" IDE laptop hard drive, in the middle of an MP3 player casing (never heard of an iRock, but it should be separate anyway.) If we assume that the damage is to the iPod itself, and not the hard drive, you'd probably have to send it to Apple for repairs. A local reseller may have a tech-guru willing to take it apart and look for damaged conenctions to repair. If it is just the iPod itself, and not the drive that is damaged, you might be able to buy one that has a dead drive, and put you drive into it. for that I would suggest eBay or other online auctions. |

Hold down the menu and play/pause buttons simultaniously for about 10 seconds to excecute a reset. That worked for me when my iPod would blank out after connection failures. |

Luckily for you (if your ipod is less than 1 year old) your iPod is covered by the iPod warranty. Although when you purchased your iPod the warranty only lasted 90 days, now new models have been made that have a one year limited warranty which now apply to all old and newer models of the iPod, so yours could still be covered by the warranty if less than one year old. Contact Apple for more details. |
