Hello, and Happy (I hope!) Holidays, and a better year to come.
Though I'm reluctant to steer you back to FEMA, they do have a pretty
good site that covers most of the types of support available for those
impacted by Katrina:
http://www.fema.gov/about/process/individual_assistance.shtm
If you haven't seen this already, please look it over carefully, and
let us know if it is helpful or not.
And if you have seen this already, tell us a bit more about what
things you've explored, and where you ran into roadblocks. I can't
make any promises, but perhaps we can find a way to help out.
All the best,

pending and whereas everyone else has received money. I haven't?
I will clarify more later.

Richard,
I know you are aware of FEMA assistance. The reason I linked to the
page above is because it details many other sources of non-FEMA
assistance, particularly:
-----
Available Disaster Assistance
--Disaster Assistance Available from FEMA
--Disaster loans available from the Small Business Administration
--Disaster assistance available from other organizations and agencies
--Additional Hurricane Katrina disaster assistance information
-----
I just wanted to make sure you were aware of these and had already
contacted these various assistance programs.
Let me know if this is useful at all.

Hi!
I was able to find two websites providing a list of charity
organizations that provide disaster assistance in different forms like
food, home, funuds, etc. They have been active in the Katrina
disaster.
Is this ok with you?
Thanks!

It's certainly a start, but I'm looking for a comprehensive list. Take
your time--I'm not looking for an immediate response--just a thorough
one....What can you share? Do your Google magic... Thanks...

Hi!
The two websites I found listed about 90+ organizations each again
providing disaster relief assistance in terms of food, housing, funds
and even for pets. Due to the huge number, repeats of entries in the
list will happen.
We already have here potentially a good number of organizations. Is
this number comprehensive enough for you?
Usually researching on the web is not really a matter of time or how
long you go at it. But at times you get great lists in such a short
time that it makes the work more efficient.
Again what I have is a diverse set of organizations providing disaster
relief through the supply of food, shelter, monetary assistance funds
and even animal care.
Is this good enough for you?
Thanks.
