Question ID: 609611
I am Looking for images of products in the food and grocery industry
in the United Kingdom. These should be images of the products 'as sold
in the stores' (e.g. a bottle of Coca Cola, a Danone yogurt cup,
etc)and not 'artistic' food images. One suplier of such a service is
Brandbank (www.brandbank.com) and I am looking for other supliers of
the same type of service. Brandbank is suppllying both images and
product data (e.g. nutritions, size of packages, etc) and stock tens
of thousadns of products. I'll consider a sufficient answer a similiar
service which supplies at least 3000 of the images only (no
need for the product data).

Referring to the comment below (geof_ga): The UK online supermarkets
are not suppliers of these images (although they are using them). It
is probably illegal to make a commercial use of these pictures (e.g.
in an online advertisement) without the expressed permission of these
supermarkets. I am therefore looking for a supplier of similiar
pictures (even if he should be paid for them) who will own the legal
rights on the pictures. One alternative is to approach each and every
manufacturer seperatley and to ask for its products' pictures, but
this is a very long and cumbersome process. I am therefore looking for
a single source (or few single sources) for these.

There is no answer at this time.

You don't say why you want these images; and I don't know what the
copyright issues are. But of course the UK online supermarkets have
images of almost all the branded products they sell. Eg, try
www.sainsburystoyou.com or www.tesco.com.

Amir

I know the answer to your question, but don't understand how Google
answers works! From what I can gather, you have to be a registered
researcher. However, Google do not appear to be accepting
applications at present. Do I want to answer a question worth $150
for free? The free of charge answer to this is 'No'. If you can
explain how to answer this for you and benefit personally, I will
happily assist. As far as credentials are concerned, I have just
moved to the US as a consultant in the food industry - have 20+ years
of UK experience in grocery and have worked with the organizations
concerned who I know have this information (actually there are 2 of
them).

Let me know if I can somehow register by 'posting your reply'. I'd
like $150 as much as the next guy.

Regards

johnnyh-ga,
Thanks for your prompt response.
I suggest we get in contact directly and if you can tell me the
suppliers who we can use, I'd be happy to pay you the $150 directly.
