I'm looking for the name of an old movie, which if i remember well was black and white. I dont remember much of it, but I know the protagonists were some kind of criminals, which after a failed robbery (i think) take refuge in a sort of house. In the end only 2 remain alive and they are being flooded by police who want to get them out. So they kill each other to avoid capture. | |

I'm glad to have been able to help you identify your movie as "Operation Daybreak" (also known under the titles "Seven Met at Daybreak" and "The Price of Freedom"). Quite a bit of info about the film is available on the Internet Movie Database: Internet Movie Database: Operation Daybreak (1975) http://imdb.com/title/tt0075019/ Although this movie is not in current release on video, a South Korean DVD was issued commercially, and the DVD is widely offered by eBay.com and Half.com merchants: eBay.com: "operation daybreak" DVD http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=%22operation+daybreak%22+dvd&category0= Half.com: Operation Daybreak http://product.half.ebay.com/_W0QQcpidZ2022080QQprZ3248130 My Google search strategy: Google Web Search: "operation daybreak" flood OR flooded OR flooding ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22operation+daybreak%22+flood+OR+flooded+OR+flooding I hope this is helpful! If anything is unclear or incomplete, please request clarification; I'll be glad to offer further assistance before you rate my answer. Best regards, pinkfreud |

I think you might be thinking of an old Humphrey Bogart move called The Desperate Hours (1955). |

Sounds like the original Ladykillers with Peter Sellers. |

no, it's definately not a comedy, so Ladykillers is out of the question. It could be Operation Daybreak though, I saw it too much long ago to remember the details, and the plot seems to make sense with the bits i remember. |

Ooops, I hit the wrong star. No obviously I'm satisfied, I asked for the name of the movie, and you provided it. Didn't understand what the google search strategy is, but it's ok. |

Yes, the film you've described is definately "Operation Daybreak" It was based on the true story of Czech assassins who were trained here in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire and parachuted into Prague to kill Heydrich, Himmler's right hand man and the architect of the concentration camps. |
