I have lost all my calendar, contact, and email folders.

I recently re-installed Win ME, and it over-wrote the Outlook files,
and I had to re-set up my MSN email address.  I am using Office XP,
Outlook 2002.

I have searched the computer, and there are no *.pst or *.cab files to
recover the lost data.

I did recently install the MS backup utility for Outlook, (prior to
re-installing Win ME).  Even so, I still cannot locate any of the
original Outlook data.

Yes, I did do the archive function every time that Outlook asked for it.

Hi - thanks, but I did not format the drive during the install, and
all of my My documents files were still there...and all my programs.

And I did do the "show system and hidden files" thing, and still no *.pst files.

Now, additionally, I have upgraded to Win XP.  

And it did the same thing, even though I archived and made backup
files of the outlook data, and saved them separately in my documents.

and it did the same darn thing - i cannot get the emails and contacts back.

Lamentably if you do not have archiv pst you cannot recover nothing.

In reinstalling ME, did you format the drive? if so, the data is gone,
if not, make sure you turn on 'show system, & hidden files' in folder
options so that the .pst files show up when you perform a search.

Also, you can search for files & folders named Outlook, & then keep
navigating to the end of the tree till you find the pst files.
