My Dell came with nvidia graphics card GeForce 6800LE. The card has an s-video type output. Question: Is this a regular s-video output or it's a special output that can actually support component output. Since my EOM card did not come with any cables, I need to purchase a cable S-video to component - I've read that such cables exist but cannot find them anywhere. ATi cards have a special adaptor for this purpose, but it does not work with Nvidia cards. To get paid: - I need a definitive answer that the s-video output on the nvidia cards is special type and can in fact output without signal degredation to component. - place where I can buy a cable that would do the above |

hi, s-video output has a standard interface. It can be connected to analog display through a standard 4 pin DIN s-video connector. However there is another type of connector with 7 pins. U can buy 4-pin DIN s-video connector from any electronic gadget store or u can buy it online. s-video doesn't carry audio signal.U have to use another cable to connect audio. Hope this will help u regards |
