Can you please find out if a sailor in company 1317 boot camp Great
Lakes Naval Station in 1944 by the name of "Ray Sapp" is still living,
and if so where does he reside? His full name may or may not be Ray,
it could be Raymond. At the time he was about 18 years old. Great
Lakes Naval Station was in Illinois. We were in boot camp together at
that time. I don't know where he was originally from nor do I know
what happened to him after that.

Hello philologist,

This might be who you are seeking. The birthdate would make him 18 in
1944. You might call or email his sons to see:

"...rigfinder.com?s founder, Jim Sapp, is the son of Ray Sapp
(1926-1995). Ray and his brothers started a number of
companies?including Sapp Bros. Truck Stops, auto and truck
dealerships, financial services businesses, and petroleum distribution
companies?during the 1960s and 70s. One of the companies Ray developed
in the 1970s was Sapp Bros. DBR Leasing, which specialized in leasing
equipment, automobiles, and tractor-trailers.

In late 1999, Jim developed rigfinder.com as a spin-off of Sapp Bros.
DBR Leasing. Rigfinder.com was originally designed to match
independent owner-operators with truck leases from Sapp Bros. DBR
Leasing. This year, we re-launched rigfinder.com as a matchmaking
service, based on the financial advantages of vehicle lease transfers.

For more information, contact Jim Sapp at 317.570.5436,
jsapp@rigfinder.com or visit www.rigfinder.com..."

A little more:

"...My father, Ray Sapp (1926-1995), was the eldest of seven siblings.
After he completed his tour of duty in the Korean conflict, he worked
for Prudential Insurance in Nebraska and he and my mom, Lenora,
started a family. Soon they had three sons and a daughter..."

Do post and let me know if you make contact and this was your long lost friend.

Hello again,

Forgive me for posting another clarification request, but it was
unclear to me from your reply if you accepted my research as the
answer and wished me to post officially and claim the fee, or if you
were suggesting I wait until you had contacted the potential
relatives.

Please let me know and I will either post and close the question or
await further response from you.

Best,
