There are two television shows from about ten years ago that I am trying to find. One I think was called War! and the other was Order of Battle, maybe. The later one was just descriptions and graphics regrading WWII. | |

I don't suppose "Order of Battle" is the PBS series "World at War" is it? They had a lot of graphics and stock footage (I don't know how many times I saw the same rocket launcher) and included chapters for each campaign with names like The Leaders, The Men, The Weapons, and Order of Battle, if memory serves. Very dry stuff, but I loved it. |

DVD or VHS, for new york city. Not the world at war. It was produced not long ago. |

The "Order of Battle" that you describe is a feature of the documentary series "Battlefield," which devoted each episode to a particular important battle during WWII, i.e. the Battle of Kursk. One featured segment of each episode was "Order of Battle," which described the overall commanders on each side, the battlefield generals or admirals, the armies or naval battle groups and fleets, their armaments and armor, etc. It included descriptions and graphics of the weaponry, the technical specifications, the disposition of forces, brief biographies of the commanders. |

"Battlefield" was what I was thinking of as well. "World at War" is a different series narrated by Laurence Olivier. Thanks, Hlabadie. |
