In certain regions of Spain, women once wore black silk or lace dresses and lacy black mantillas, with orange blossoms in their hair. The groom would don a hand-embroidered shirt -- an original gift from the bride. http://www.thetask.com/thresholds/handfastings/clothing.htm Traditional Spanish Wedding Clothes According to Spanish custom, a Spanish bride wore, and still might wear, a black silk wedding dress with an intricately designed black lace veil. Her groom usually wears an embroidered shirt, hand made by his future wife.http://www.world-http://wedding-traditions.net/western_europe/spanish_traditions.htm |
