I want to start a long distance bus company, and am in the process of forming a business plan. But I have no experience in running or maintaining diesel buses. I want to know what operating expenses I need to factor into my monthly budget. My vehicles will be doing 1000km (600 miles) of open road travel per day so maintanence will be important. But I have no idea how often they should be serviced, nor what costs to expect per month. The company will be here in Argentina but if the answer lists expenses as if I were in the US, that's fine. I'm gonna start off the answer with the obvious expenses: 1. Diesel fuel (how many litres per day?) 2. Oil (how often should this be changed?) 3. Air filters (again, how often?) 4. Brakes 5. Transmission fluid 6. Brake fluid 7. Cost of cleaning bus every day etc... |
