According to Al Dubin: When I pretend I'm gay I never feel that way I'm only painting the clouds with sunshine When I hold back a tear To make a smile appear I'm only painting the clouds with sunshine Painting the blue, beautiful hues, Coloured with gold and old rose Playing the clown, Trying to drown all of my woes Though things may not look bright They all turn out alright If I keep painting the clouds with sunshine. |

I'm not personally gay, but I do know quite a few gay people. Anyway I have asked this question several times and I've come to find that if they are gay then it's because it's what makes them happy. Whether it has come from their child hood or what they were brought up with. But think about it logically, and then ask yourself the question "Why are people, people?" :) |

The simplest answer to your question is that no one knows ? yet. Some people believe it?s a choice, others believe it?s genetic and others think that it is due to environmental factors (such as our early childhood experiences, how we are raised and our relationship with our parents). It is clear that many people?s perception of what ?causes? people to be gay is related to society?s views, religious views and certainly by their own personal experiences. As a gay man, my personal view is that it is probably a combination of many factors, some genetic and some environmental. I don?t think it is a choice and the evidence is mounting that there is a genetic component. Take a look at this article: http://www.webmd.com/content/article/100/105486.htm My experience has been that many people who are adamantly against the point of view that one?s sexual preference is not a choice are often heavily influenced by their own struggles or are using the issue as a tool for political gain. For example, Jim West (former mayor of Spokane, Washington) was very anti-gay. But, it appears that he was also struggling with sexuality issues. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/223201_west06.html From that perspective it makes you wonder why Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are so rabidly anti-gay. |

gay are as same as other human being. i dont see any difference. considering other relationships gay relationships are increasing day by day.some people say it is a natural thing that created to reduce the population of this world. someone hate and say that does not occur even among animals. but as an answer for that someone say yes human being is the most developed living being and gay is something more developed than other sexual habits. in my point of view we are not supposed to look into other peoples private life unless they need to share it with us. we have to be simple and move with any type of people. the world become more beautiful when it colored with many races, cultures and groups. that doesnt mean we must approve bad things. before we take any severe action we must think twice we will die one day. any person like to live happily. the law and religion, are there to control our errors. if you think all must be same then there would be no obstacles for gays. If any gay person want to do away with his habit we have to help him to come out of surface. but others too must remain happily. |
