What's the income distribution in Manhattan (or New York City more broadly if Manhattan is not available)? I'm interested in particular about what the cutoff is for the top 1% and top 10%. Thanks. |

Here's an interesting statistic -- from an article by Alex Kuczynski in the NY Times, 9/8/05: "The top 5th of earners in Manhattan now make 52 times what the lowest 5th make: $356,826, compared with $7,047." |
