gasman...

I found only about 3 citations, both for bone marrow
harvest - 2 with general anaesthetic, 1 with local -
no further specifications or contraindications.

Would like for humans but any information that could be extrapolated
to humans would be helpful

Hello gasman,

I've found several citation to the harvesting of progenitors from
peripheral blood using local anaesthesia. Avoidance of general
anesthesia is mentioned as an advantage, but only in terms of the
decreased risk to patients and not in order to improve the quality of
the harvest.
