In November of 2000, I needed a piece of accordion music for a project. So I went to AltaVista (hadn't heard of Google yet) and entered a query similar to "accordion music wav". After an hour or so of hunting, I came up with the web page of some sort of accordionist, with a tracklist of the songs on his CD. Also available was a download link to a 60-second clip of his songs. I selected one entitled "Sailing", and downloaded this file (which I kept on my hard drive) http://www.mapcomplex.com/sailing.wav I know that the original song was called "Sailing", or something with the word "sailing" in the name. Aside from what I've described above, I know nothing else about this piece of music. I would like to know the artist of this piece as well as the album and song name. If possible, also information on where to purchase the CD or tape. Thank you! |

Hi alexcan, The artist of your 60-second clip is John Jeski. The clip comprises excerpts from "Jolly Caballero Polka", "Polka Ranchero" and "Sailing Accordion Polka". These tunes are featured on John Jeski's "Incredible Polkas" album, which is available from Polka Store: "The John Jeski Band" http://polka-store.com/johnjeski/ From that page, you can purchase CDs and cassettes, and download several WAV clips including your SAILING.WAV. Additional link: Polka Store Home Page http://polka-store.com/ Google search strategy: sailing accordion ://www.google.com/search?q=sailing%20accordion Regards, eiffel-ga |
