Where can I find information on buying/leasing a machine that
specifically makes light guage metal studs? I've found information on
metal formers, but the information wasn't specific to making studs for
residential construction. Particularly when I worked construction in
high school, my boss was a tinkerer and made a machine (a hugh one at
that) that successfully created studs before it was commercially
acceptable to use metal framing in residential construction. According
to him "I'm saving $30,000" He passed away several years ago and I
never got to ask him what he based his information on. This
information will be used satisfy a general interest, but it may turn
into something more.

The real question I want answered: are there formers specifically for
manufacturering light guage framing studs? If so, where can I find
one?
