A very funny movie. I saw it several times. But the VHS english version seems to be rather rare. Although researching hard I could not find offers for new tapes. You can get used VHS system versions of that film at ( http://www.ebay.com ) Some examples: auction expiring in about 4 hrs.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1559908460 ) auction expiring in about 6 hrs.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1559930211 ) auction expiring in about 8 hrs.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1560422831 ) auction expiring in about 13 hrs.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1560001383 ) auction expiring in about 28 hrs.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1560598111 ) auction expiring in about 42 hrs.: BUY IT NOW OPTION ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1561673753 ) auction expiring in about 43 hrs.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1560820701 ) auction expiring in about 3 days.: ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1560652736 ) auction expiring in about 4 days 9 hrs.: Part I & II ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1561274052 ) Most of these auctions say that the condition of the tape offered is good or very good. Buying at ebay.com is very easy. All you got to do is register at ebay.com to get a username and password. Another source is Yahoo Video Shop: ( http://shopping.yahoo.com/shop?d=v&id=1800071144&cf=formatinfo&clink=dmpr-hm-rec-v/ruleid/461284 ) I´m sure you should be able to get the movie from on of these auctions. Search Strategy: I used ebay´s internal search engine to find the offers. till-ga | |

Hi Graham69,
Videos sold on ebay.com are almost all in NTSC format for US
televisions. Videos for the UK should be in PAL format.
You can obtain second-hand PAL copies of "The Gods Must Be Crazy" from
http://www.ebay.co.uk/
(enter into the search box the phrase: gods must be crazy)
At the moment there are two copies for sale, with bids around £26:
http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=gods+must+be+crazy&ebaytag1code=3&shortcut=2&currdisp=1&maxRecordsReturned=300&maxRecordsPerPage=50&SortProperty=MetaEndSort
The auctions for those copies expire in 2 hours and 7 hours - but if
you miss those two, just keep checking www.ebay.co.uk as this video
comes up for sale regularly.
Happy watching! I especially love the opening scene ("when the numbers
show 730...")!
Regards,

Sorry eiffel-ga but I think you are wrong here. In ALL descriptions of the videos I´ve listed the description says "VHS" video. In one offer it´s mentioned that thes VHS pal tapes are rare. So I can´t see what should be wrong in my answer. And the video systems are known as VHS (Europe) and NTSC (USA etc.). till-ga |

The relevant keyword when purchasing ebay videos for use in the UK is PAL, not VHS. VHS is also used for NTSC-encoded videos for use in the US. |
