I wanted to verify if the above was correct so I sent an e-mail
(Sept.7, 2002 11:41 A.M.) to patrioticbumper@aol.com inquiring for
their New York City Fire Dept. T-Shirt size XXL - dark colored
specifying that I'd prefer the regulation type and not the tourist

They answered promptly (Sept.7, 2002 19:08 P.M.) as follows:

“We do have carry a regulation t-shirt for the FDNY.  It is the navy
shirt
with F.D.N.Y. in gold and a small shield in the center.  We do not
have any more XXL in stock right now.  I hope to have some more in on
Tuesday.Please let me know if this is what you would like.  Thank you
for your interest.

There are lots of places offering NYFD shirts for sale, but I felt an
'official' site like the Fire Zone (a program of the New York City
Fire Department's Fire Safety Education Fund) will be more
