Is there a Microsoft Excel command that rearranges a data or text series? For example if you have a text series: flower, cow, jump, pepsi, sandwich. Rearrange or flip it to read - sandwich, pepsi, jump, cow, flower. I have a data series with 180 data points that need to be flipped from left to right. |

Step 1: On the last row of your data, number them 1 through "X" sequentially, going from left to right. If you use a formula to do the numbering, make sure to convert to values. Step 2: Sort Data. Typically, you would sort by columns. However, this time you want to sort by rows. A. Highlight your data including your newly added row in Step 1. B. On your menu, Select Data, Sort. C. Click on the Options button. D. Select the radio button "sort from left to right," then click "OK." E. Change the "Sort by" dropdown selector to the row with your numbers and click the radio button "Descending," Your data will now be flip flopped. =) |
