Can you remember any more details? There were several such series in
the 1950s. Any additional information would help us to home in on the
specific series that you want.

The cadets attended school on board the station and used small
personal runabouts to traval outside the station. It's possible the
author was UK based but I am not sure.

Hello bullfinch,

Thank you for your question regarding space cadets from the 1950s.
After some research on the topic I found some potentially useful
information. I'm not an expert in 1950s sci-fi novels but this seems
the best info

Space Cadet showed up in research as "Robert Heinlein's juvenile novel
SPACE CADET published in 1948."
from http://www.solarguard.com/tchome.htm

Related also to Space Cadets of the same era was a character called
Tom Corbett.

I did a search on amazon and found his book with the title Space
Cadet. Looking at the title cover it looks like a classic 1950s style
sci-fi and it includes a space station.

The cover shows the picture at

There are also some other covers available at
http://www.wegrokit.com/sc2.htm

Robert Anson Heinlein has a neat biography at
http://www.wegrokit.com/bio.htm

search strategy

google

"space cadet" 1950s books "space station"

"Robert Heinlein", Space Cadet

Though I'm not sure if this is strictly a book series, Heinlein's book
ended up as a TV series. So I put this in a comment rather than an
answer. Heilein also wrote a number of other books.

kind regards

may be able to answer this more fully.
