Hi, Trixie !
Kathy Biehl has an article on "Business Filings Databases" , updated
Dec 2001, at:
http://www.llrx.com/columns/roundup19.htm
She says: "Almost all of the states make some level of Corporate and
Business filings available online. In a few instances only limited
information (such as name availability) is retrievable. The majority
of the states, however, use their Web presence to disseminate a range
of public business records -- and most of them offer access at no
charge."
Unfortunately, Texas isn't one of them. Instead the Office of the
Secretary of State Gwyn Shea has set up a database accessible by
registration, and paying a small fee for each search. This can be
found at:
http://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/sosda/index.shtml
and may have the information you want. Since I can't get into the site
without paying, I'm posting this as a comment, and hope it will prove
a starting point.
Good luck.
