Hi landwood-ga,
Are you referring to Immortal Concerts: Salle Pleyel, Paris January
1952 Sidney Bechet?
It seems that this CD does not include all the songs that were on the
Vogue CD.
Thanks

Hi
I located a CD of Sidney Bechet that includes 11 of the 12 tracks you
listed. Track 4 - “South” is missing, but it has Halle Hallelujah, On
The Sunny Side Of The, As-Tu Le Cafard?, Summertime and Blues In The
Air. Would you be interested in this CD?
Thanks

Dear Bobbie7-ga,
Thanks for for continued search.
Unfortunately this is still no good - it's precisely the track
'South' played at this particular concert that I am after.
I know the whole recording was produced because I have given you the
original CD recording Number and also leaders in the second hand
market in London have told me it exists. Also the Sidney Bechet
Society in the States says it exists.
Christophe Golay of 'sitejazz@yahoo.fr led me to
www.webne.ch/docjazz/disques_Bechet.htm who also confirm it exists on
CD under Kaleidoscope jazz 65001 (Distributed by Vogue)
This is the reason that I came on to Google Search because my
extensive searches over the past 6 months have revealed nothing ! So
If you could continue searching I would be most grateful,
Regards,
landwood-ga

To Sporkadelic-ga,
Thanks for your continued searches. If you can obtain the TWO volumes
of the actual concert recordings - incudimg the applause and the
encores and they are in condition to play good quality sound, I will
pay £50 sterling for the two volumes at least possibly more.
Regards,
landwood-ga
