Appeared in a movie made before 1985
"Far better it is to dare mighty deeds, to win glorious triumphs
Than to take rank with those poor spirits
Who neither enjoy much nor suffer much
But live in that grey twilight
That knows no victory or defeat"

What exactly do you want to know? The name of the movie it appeared
in, the actor that spoke the lines or something else?

There are several films on and with Theodore Roosevelt, but I don't
know which ones contain this speech. Do you have a year that the
movie was made after?

From the book "The Strenuous Life: Essays and Addresses" published in
1900.

SPEECH BEFORE THE HAMILTON CLUB, CHICAGO, APRIL 10, 1899

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs,
even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor
spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in
the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
