How can I clear the Google dropdown menu

Do you feel comfortable editing the Windows registry? That's where
the values are stored. If you want to know how you can remove these
values from the registry (which can be risky), please indicate which
version of Windows you're using. Thanks!

Iuse Wondown 98 --->indows M-e

Please clarify for me wby you ask if I would "feel comfortable" using
the Windows registry. What are the problems? The risks?

This, the culmination of a week or two of seeking what seemed to be
the answer to a simple question, -- to repeat: how can I get rid of
the list on the drop down from my (initial, simple) Google website
page?

On the LEFT side you see GOOGLE in colored letter. At the end of the
E on Google you will see a Black ARROW pointing DOWN. Click on the
ARROW. The DROP down menu appears. The 9th option is: CLEAR SEARCH
HISTORY. Highlight: Clear Search History. That will clear/clean up
all HISTORY.

If you are talking about the main search page, you can put your cursor
in the box and hit the down arrow. As you scroll down, each
remembered word will be highlighted. Hit the 'Delete" key on each one
you wish to clear.

AT LONG LAST, VERY LONG -- I NOW have a Google TOOLBAR! (You
specialists sometimes overestimate the sachel [intelligence] of your
clients! Until Sept 10, I had not knon a Google Toolbar exited, and
when at last I did, it did not simply spring to the page --straight
from your brow, so to speak!)

It does, indeed, have a drop down menu, which does indeed include:
"Clear search history."

I HAVE USED THIS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT. thay is: When I access
Google from my desktop and see the Google bar, and click on it, the
first search items of a very large collection -- Al, apparently, ever
requested by anyone using this computer [presently locked when I am
not using it personally]can be scrolled down. THAT
UNWANTED AND REVEALING LIST IS PRECISELY WHAT I WANT TO EXPUNGE!
