I currently travel on a nj transit train "boonton line" from wayne to
hoboken, NJ, then take a ferry to pier A in downtown NY.
NJ Transit is closing "boonton line" train in next few days, and I am
trying to find out if there is a bus going from Wayne (mountain view
area) directly downtown NY. If there is no bus, perharps if you are
travelling this way, you could provide the best commute suggestion. |

I welcome suggestions on other ways of commute, but what I need is the
bus that goes downtown NY. Many private bus companies provide that, I
am just unable to find it on the internet.

I have found schedules for six buses going from Wayne to the Port
Authority Bus Terminal, including one that stops at Wayne-Mountain
View (Rt. 23 and Fairfield Rd.).
Would a schedule for the Wayne-Mountain View - Port Authority bus be
sufficient? (I ask because the Port Authority is midtown, not
downtown.)
If so, would you also like the schedules for the other buses from
Wayne (not Mountain View) to the Port Authority?

I am glad you asked for clarification. I am aware of many ways of
commuting to midtown, and I am only interested in buses going downtown
since I want to avoid subway system. Perharps there is a bus going
from mountain view to hoboken, where I could make a transfer to a NY
waterway ferry going to Pier A which is downtown. Also, sufficient
answer would be to provide me a bus going downtown, preferably wall
street, from nearby wayne (up to 5 miles).
