I need to know within what numerical band your credit score must be,
in order to pass the credit vetting for a mobile phone contract in the
UK. I need to know the level set by companies such as, vodafone, O2,

For many types of credit, there is no overall 'scoring' system. Each
company makes decisions based on the criteria that it feels are
important. They use information from a credit reference agency
(CRA), but the CRA does not provide a 'score'.

There is some more information on this page:
http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/consumer_agency.html
http://www.abbeynational.co.uk/index/personal_banking_home/personal_banking_credit_scoring.htm
http://www.allorange.co.uk/infoPages/terms.shtml

I have not found any evidence that there is one scoring system that is
used by all (or even some) mobile phone providers.

Sorry, one more page:

http://www.fonetastic.com/channels/cash/showcashart.php?id=2

Says "Different lenders have different methods and pass marks, so you
can be turned down by one but accepted by another. Lenders do not have
to tell you why they have refused you credit ".
