We have a webdav account on a server hosted by our ISP. It works great under windows, but isnt working very well on Mac OS9. 1 - What is the best Mac OS9 program for accessing WebDav servers? I know there exists Goliath, and DAV. http://www.webdav.org/goliath/ Maybe more. One useful link is http://www.webdav.org. One of the servers we are currently using uses encrypted (non cleartext) passwords and consequently isnt working with it, or at least we couldnt figure it out. 2 - The other server is apparently different, it uses work over HTTP and uses SSL (with a certificate) and I guess this means that is wont have that problem. Im not sure if I understand the difference between the two. I though all webdav was over http. Maybe you could explain. 3 I read on webdav.org that ical support webdav? http://www.apple.com/ical/ What gives? iCal isn't for file sharing! I am assuming that it just happens to work with a webdav server, and offers no provision for accessing normal files on that server. OX10 (jaguar) should do this by itself. Is this assumption correct? 4 Does Jaguar support encrypted passwords, or just cleartext (the old ver of OSX was just cleartext)? |
