Question ID: 63301
I'm looking for a trainer to consult with us over the phone to improve
the voice skills of my customer service team. At this stage i'm NOT
looking for seminars or courses, or general customer service skills.
Nor am I looking for voice trainers for general voice, or singing.
Thanks!

Where are you? If you are in or near Australia I can probably help you find someone.

Australia? Almost. San Francisco! :-). But we want it over the phone,
so i wouldn't rule it out. Solicitations from 'voice trainers'
welcomed.

If solicitations from voice trainers are OK, email
kenwelsh@goconnect.net - he may be able to help you with a
personalised training plan.

This is a professional colleague of mine who has given his permission
to post his email address.

Hi headsetsdotcom,

I emailed The Voice And Speech Trainers Association Inc.

URL http://www.vasta.org/

This is what i sent them and their reply:

--- my mail ---

Hi,

Can you recommend someone who can consult over the phone to
improve the voice skills of a company's customer service
team? They are not looking for any seminars or courses.

I know this is not exactly what you do, but I wanted to take
a chance and mail you! I found your email address from the
vasta homepage.

Warm regards

Vinod S.
-------------- their reply ----------

The person I would recommend is Ginny Kopf. Her email address is

zazu@gdi.net

She has done quite a bit of corporate work, and may be able to do this
kind
of thing.

Eric Armstrong

I hope you can accept this as an answer. However, if you need any more
information, please let me know and i will do all i can to find it for
you!

warm regards

This is a follow-up to my answer. Since I don't know your location,
here is the URL for the Professional Index of VASTA. I'm sure you will
find many people listed here who may be able to take on your project.

The individual pages list the following:

By voice skills do you mean the sound of their voice; professional vs.
conversational? Or do you mean the words that are spoken, and training
to choose more professional words?

the tone, pace and pitch of their voice, not the words. Tx.

I have calls in to two firms to see what they would charge for phone
consultation. As soon as I hear back, I will post the information if
it proves pertinent to your needs.
